Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And baby I love you

I told a girl that my prospects were good
And she said baby, it's understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time

This series was originally planted at the 2011 Great Lakes Gathering as a “Road Trip”. Your road is now a trail in Wisconsin!

You’ll quickly arrive at some “road” signs. Choose the route that takes you between a Basswood & Ironwood.  Stay true to blue on this tour!  Head left at the “Y” and take the long & winding road until you reach a “T”.  Take a left, cross the boardwalk and another left at the “Y”.  Up you go!  Take a rest at the bench on the left.  Look over your right shoulder to spot a small evergreen shrub.  Want to meet someone who keeps the beat?

If you want it, here it is
Come and get it
Make your mind up fast
If you want it anytime I can give it
But you better hurry 'cause it may not last

Look at the base of the shrub. You’ll need to keep a steady beat for the long march ahead…

Continue onward, left, left, left, rest at bench, then left again.  Sail straight through the next intersection and admire the strawberry fields forever.  After you curve around, watch for two smaller multi-trunks on the right, with a large Fab Four tree on the left.  North of the big group is a single they released.  The rock fans are nearby. Rock & Roll the smaller rocks in front to reveal Sir Paul.  Replace him well so he won’t be bothered by unappreciative noxers.

Left and left into the Norwegian Woods then another quick left.   Why don’t we do it in the road? No one will be watching us…   You’ll need to make a choice at the next “T”.  It's been a hard day's night, and I been working like a dog   Yep, that’s what you need to do!  As you begin to descend, watch for a birch W on the right and a broken W the left.  You should see a large oak a short distance ahead on the left.  Across the trail from the oak is a roundish white rock.  Can you hear John singing?

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me?

Look behind the rock and please be sure to recover him well with rocks and leaves so he won’t be deported by the authorities.

If you want the group to come together continue on like the Fool on the Hill.  Left, Left,

So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found the sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine

lurking on the right?  Left again and left at the intersection with a knobby tree in the center of a trio.  The group is almost complete! Descend and curve, watching for a stump on the right.

All these years I've been wandering around
Wondering how come nobody told me
All that I was looking for was somebody
Who looked like you
I've got a feeling, that keeps me on my toes
Oh yeah, oh yeah

Oh yeah - Walk along the fallen tree behind the stump.  Midway along the trunk you’ll find rocks on both sides.  George’s hangout is on the northeast.  Recover with rocks & leaves so he can enjoy his Golden Slumbers undisturbed.

Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged

Continue on (OK to travel past warning sign). Building on the left, building on the right, keep on truckin’.

Come on let's take it easy
Take it easy take it easy

Continue across boardwalk.

We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We hope you have enjoyed the show
We're sorry but it's time to go
We'd like to thank you once again
Sgt. Pepper's one and only Lonely Hearts Club Band
It's getting very near the end

320° at intersection.

Get back Jojo
Go home

As always, status reports would be greatly appreciated!!   Wisconsin Hiker
